BSF - Rah Rah Rah

from $45.00

The Wagah Border Ceremony has come to symbolize the enduring hope for peace and cooperation between India and Pakistan, even in the midst of historical conflicts and political tensions. It started 60 years ago when the Commanding officers of both India and Pakistan at this border checkpoint decided to raise and lower their respective flags simultaneously as a gesture of peace.

It has devolved into a show of force, at least on the Indian side that I could see, where men and women of the Border Security Force - strutted up to the border gate and postured and preened. This soldier was the emcee on the Indian side where he riled up the crowd to make as much noise as possible - a true Bollywood show!!
